Yet our love skills are almost untapped, and certainly untaught.  When was the last time you took a course in becoming a love expert, or upgraded your love skills from “Basic Love” to “Advanced Love”?  Is it any wonder we suffer so many divorces, broken hearts, wars, hatred, hurt, and loneliness?  

This love crisis is very personal.  Who doesn’t have an enormous desire and need to be loved?  Yet it is also collective and universal as an Earth family.  The majority of Earth’s population is starving for love.  That is the love tragedy of history so far – but, fortunately, not the end of our collective love story. 

We are at the beginning of a new story – a love revolution so profound that it will be called “The Love Story of the New Millennium.”  No one is excluded.   Love is reaching into our hearts and lifting us to a new view of what is possible in love. Quite simply, we are all being called forth to become Love Masters.

We have all been touched by Love Masters.  Whenever you are being cherished, esteemed, empowered, equal, and honored with another person, you are in the presence of a Love Master.  

Imagine the quality of our world if we were all Love Masters? Our world needs Love Masters in every occupation, organization, school, and family.  And imagine what your love life would become if you knew the skills of a Love Master.  You would be experiencing the genuine love you deserve.  So let us advance in our love skills – right now.  Let us reach up and claim what is possible in love.  We can never rise higher in love than our consciousness can conceive.  Let us learn what takes place in the heart of a Love Master – our new love identity as we move into the new millennium. 

A Love Master is internally awake to the immense suffering on Earth – the tears in so many million hearts, the private inner struggles for worth and purpose, and the catastrophic, often hidden, results of love anguish and abuse.  The inner heart of a Love Master feels and responds vigorously and powerfully to this universal call for help.

The tools of a Love Master are unconditional compassion, empathy, kindness & honesty, listening to the heart, honoring equality, spiritual awareness, forgiveness, peace-making, unifying, and healing. A Love Master rises to the level of pure love that speaks tenderly to every heart, honestly to every mind, and equally to every spirit.   

Think of your closest and most intimate friends.  Do they feel loved in your presence?  Think of your family.  Do they feel loved in your presence?  Think of all the people at your work place, your church, your waiters at restaurants, the people you pass in grocery stores.  Do they feel loved in your presence?  Think of the persons you most “love.”  Do they feel truly loved in your presence? 

One morning, at breakfast with a good friend, a waitress we knew and loved took our order with a smile and then left. Scott remarked, “Something is not right in her life.”  When she later came by, Scott asked her to sit with us for a moment.  “What did I do wrong?” she instantly replied.  “Nothing at all,” he said with great love. “We were having fun identifying the two words that best describe who we are and we wanted to know your two words.” She responded instantly with a smile: “My words would be loving and witty.”  As she shared so easily from her heart, her entire body and identity relaxed in the love that was embracing her.  She was reminded of how magnificent she is.  She only sat with us for 60 seconds, but she left our table transformed, invigorated, and loved. 

“Scott, how did you know she needed so much love?” asked Shannon.  “I wasn’t aware of her need.”  We talked together, as fellow Love Masters, of the value of a simple “empathy check” when we encounter anyone in our path – taking the first moment of any new encounter to tune in to the heart of another person.  Are they happy?  Do they feel cherished, honored, equal, empowered?  Do they need a special embrace of love?   

These are illuminating questions.  They are questions that keep us deeply loving.  And they are questions that also bring us massive love.  They bring us love because we will always experience the level of love we radiate.  This is great news for all who are love-starved.  Becoming a Love Master creates a powerful flow of love that nourishes others, enriches our own soul, and attracts the most loving people to us.  In fact, the fastest way to meet the right love mate is to become a Love Master.  It may seem like a paradox, though, because a Love Master seeks to give, not receive.  But it is really the most profound of spiritual laws – loving well brings you into the heart of Love.  

And just as illuminating is another question that each of us, as Love Masters, must ask of our friends, organizations, and those we encounter: “How loved do I feel in your presence?” 

Many of us spend years imprisoned in relationships that demean, ignore, or hurt us.  Such relationships suck happiness and love out of our lives and hearts.  There are thousands of loving people right now who are giving massive amounts of love and receiving little or none in return.  This is not true love.  Genuine love flows equally in both directions.  As we grow in our understanding of what it means to become a Love Master, we discover the vast importance of being surrounded by people who honor and empower us.  In other words, to be surrounded by Love Masters.   We begin to understand that this is our spiritual right and to take this higher stand for love, not only liberates us, but is good medicine for those around us. 

How loved do you feel in my presence? How loved do I feel in your presence?  These two questions, combined, may shake the foundations of your entire life.  But the question of the new millennium is simple:  Are you ready for a truly Love-centered life – a life both flowing out with love and receiving love’s fullness?  This is the love we all deserve. This is the love story of the third millennium. 

We desperately need each other’s love as we make this powerful love transition. We need each other’s non-judgmental love, support, encouragement, honesty, tenderness, honoring, and freedom of Spirit.   

As we enter the life of a Love Master, we will be mightily challenged.  The increasing brightness of our light of Love will expose all that has been lurking in the darkness of our lives, organizations,  and civilization.  The ferocity of this darkness will seem bewildering and fearful, but will serve to uplift us by calling forth our ability to utilize the power of Love to heal.  This is the most extraordinary benefit of all.  A Love Master is a healer of hearts. 

Every step towards becoming a Love Master unleashes new powers of Love within us.  We are humbled, cherished, and empowered in the presence and power of infinite, all-inclusive Love. Welcome to the new millennium, dear needed and cherished Love Master.
